Turn glass into a useful part of your brand.
A salon lives in its window, and clients with wet hair and foils also want a little privacy from passers-by. This page is for salon owners, barbers and beauty teams planning hair salon window graphics for a new opening or a refresh.

Sit in your own chairs and look out. Note where people on the pavement can see straight in, then position frosted film at those heights, leaving clear glass above for daylight. Basins and treatment rooms usually need more cover than styling stations. Patterned or graduated frosting looks softer than a solid band, and a logo cut out of it adds branding with no extra colour. Our window graphics page explains frosted and printed options, and how each one looks from outside.
Passers-by only need your name, what you do, and how to book. Put opening hours by the door, and keep prices off the glass unless they rarely change, because crisp cut vinyl lettering looks poor once patched. A QR code to your booking page is useful at standing height, but test it from outside through the glass, since reflections can defeat a phone camera. Use removable film for seasonal offers and styles that will date.
Salons produce warmth, steam and a mist of hairspray, which all land on the inside of the glass. Film on the inner face stays protected from weather but will need gentle cleaning, without abrasive pads or harsh solvents. Film needs dry, grease-free glass, so plan fitting for a quiet time. Think about the view from inside too, and carry the look on through your wall graphics behind reception so the frontage and interior feel related.
When it is dark outside and lit inside, frosted film can show shapes and movement more clearly than by day. For treatment areas needing full privacy at night, ask us about more opaque options or blinds.
Yes, if you plan for it. Keep prices on a separate panel of vinyl or a poster inside the window, so that only that section changes while your logo and frosted privacy film stay in place.
