Backdrop printing
Set the scene with a printed backdrop for a stage, exhibition or presentation.
An awards evening usually has two printed surfaces doing different jobs: one on stage and one where winners stop for a photograph. Organisers, agencies and trade bodies will find awards night backdrops easier to specify once those jobs are treated separately.

On stage, the backdrop is seen from afar in a dark room, often beside screens, so it suits a large event name and simple shapes. The winners' wall is seen close up and under flash, where logos and category sponsors can appear at a smaller size. Using one artwork for both usually serves neither. Set the two designs side by side, then share branding and colours so they feel like one event. Keep any logo repeat open, with space around each mark.
Ballrooms are usually dim, with coloured stage washes that shift the print. A deep purple may look almost black under blue light, and gold printed in ordinary ink will not shine as real foil does. Ask your lighting designer which colours will be used, and view any proof under similar conditions if possible. If a glowing effect is important, backlit displays can give an event logo far more presence than a front-lit print, subject to power and venue rules.
Many awards venues host another event the night before, so the access window can be short and the route tight. Check goods lift sizes, ceiling heights and the time you can get in. Self-supporting modular displays or tension frames can suit venues that prohibit fixings, while your production company may rig a stage set to truss. Ask the venue what fire rating paperwork it needs for awards night backdrops, and allow time to gather it before the evening.
Yes, but keep them readable. Group category sponsors in a repeat on the winners' wall and reserve the stage for the headline partner. Check sponsor agreements first, because logo size and position are often specified.
Standard print can suggest metallic tones but will not reflect like foil. If you need a true metallic finish, raise it early so we can discuss what is possible with your material, size and budget.
