How volume print pricing works
On our poster-sized prints, the price per print falls at 5 and again at 20. The prints do not have to show the same picture, only be the same size in the same order.

The price breaks.
| Size | 1 print | 5+ prints | 20+ prints |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12in x 12in | £5.50 | £4.50 | £3.50 |
| A3 | £7.99 | £5.50 | £3.99 |
| 20in x 16in | £11.99 | £7.99 | £5.99 |
| A2 | £13.99 | £9.99 | £6.99 |
| 30in x 20in | £18.99 | £12.50 | £9.50 |

Why the price falls.
Printing one sheet carries a certain amount of fixed work: checking the file, setting up the job, loading the material, trimming and packing. That work barely changes between one print and twenty, so it can be shared across more pieces. The ink and material still cost about the same for each print, which is why the price falls in steps but never towards nothing.
Mixed pictures count.
This is the part people miss. Volume prices apply to prints of the same size in a single order, and they do not have to be the same picture. That helps in three common situations.
- A photographer printing a set of different images for a show, all at the same size.
- A shop group with a version of a poster for each branch.
- A school or college with different class work, as long as it is all printed to one size.
Three ways to use it well
Standardise on one size. A mix of A3 and 16in x 12in prints may look close in size, but they are different sizes. Choosing one size for the whole order gives you the best chance of reaching the next band.
Batch your orders. Five prints ordered in one go fall in a different band from five ordered one at a time. If you know that more will be needed this term, ask for them together.
Run the sum near a break. A run just short of 5 or 20 can cost more than one that reaches it, once you multiply out the two prices. Do the sum for your size before you settle on a number, and ask us if you are not sure how your order falls.
When not to order more
A lower unit price is not a saving if the extra posters end up in a recycling bin. Dates change, staff move and logos get updated. Order what you can use, and see our notes on reducing print waste.
Large format and other products
The steps above are for poster-sized prints. For banners, boards and large format inkjet, discounts are available on quantity but they are not listed in steps, so ask for a price at your real number. A £35 minimum order value applies to large format poster printing. The rest of a price is explained in our guide to accurate print quotes.

Your questions.
Can I mix gloss and matt in one volume order?
The price list shows the same prices for gloss and matt. Ask us if you want to split an order between finishes.
Can I reorder later at the same volume price?
Volume prices apply to prints in one order, so a later small order would normally be priced on its own. Ask us if you have a repeat job planned.
Are there prices above 20 prints?
Tell us the number. Discounts are available on quantity, so a large run is worth asking about.
