Lightbox graphics are the printed faces that slot into illuminated frames in shops, restaurants, stations and trade shows. This page is for anyone updating an existing unit or specifying a new one, and it starts with the frame rather than the print.

The way a graphic attaches decides what can be printed. Snap frames open at the edges and hold a thin rigid or film insert. Fabric systems use a silicone edge pressed into a channel, so the print must be sewn to a tight tolerance. Older sign boxes may have an acrylic face panel that the graphic is fixed to. Photograph the unit, including a corner opened up if you can, and look for a label. That usually tells us more than a written description, and it avoids a graphic that will not fit.
Three numbers are easily confused: the outside frame size, the visible window, and the graphic size that sits behind the frame lip. You need all three. Measure in millimetres, at more than one point, because older frames can flex out of square. Keep logos and text inside the visible window with some breathing room. If you have an old graphic, measure that as well, or send us its dimensions. If you have a brand template from head office, share it, since many chains specify these details already.
Printed film gives sharp detail and suits close viewing, so it is a natural fit for menus and product shots. Stretched fabric glows softly, hides light spots well and folds for transport, which is why fabric banners have much in common with exhibition lightboxes. Whichever you choose, remember that colours shift when lit. If your unit has dim or uneven lighting, a new print will not fix that, so check its condition using our backlit displays guide.
Usually that is possible, provided we have the frame type and accurate measurements. Send photographs and any previous graphic details, and we'll tell you whether the fit can be achieved.
New graphics can reveal uneven lighting, failed tubes or LED spacing that a darker image was hiding. Check the lamps, then consider a slightly different design or a more diffusing material.
